Study Permit Extension

The expiry date on your Study Permit indicates you when you have to stop studying and leave Canada.

Note: If your study permit expires and you haven’t applied for an extension, you must leave Canada. If you want to stay in Canada but you are no longer studying, you have a few other options.

If you need to extend your Study Permit you must:

• Have initial Study Permit;
• Enrollment Letter from Designated Learning Institute (DLI);
• Meet certain other requirements.
